Undertook a 5-month research secondment at Ericsson's Cloud and Technology division in Lund, Sweden.
Read moreFrom January to May 2023, I carried out a research secondment at Ericsson's Cloud and Technology division in Lund, Sweden. During this 5-month visit, I developed Kubernetes-based scalable cloud-robot architectures for multi-agent robotic systems, combining Ericsson's 5G and edge computing infrastructure with my Ph.D. research on networked robotic control. I also delivered an invited seminar at Lund University on "Edge Connected Drones" to the Automatic Control Group.
Hosted the 3rd AERO-TRAIN Training School at Luleå University of Technology.
Read moreDuring December 5–6, 2022, I co-organised and hosted the 3rd AERO-TRAIN Training School (TS3) at Luleå University of Technology in Luleå, Sweden. The training school brought together the network's researchers for intensive sessions on aerial robotics, edge computing, and autonomous systems, with hands-on demonstrations of the LTU robotics laboratory's facilities and current research platforms.
Published a paper in IEEE Access on edge-enabled robotic control systems.
Read moreOn November 18th 2022, our paper was published in IEEE Access. The open-access publication presents advances in edge-enabled autonomous robotic systems, contributing to the growing body of work on low-latency cloud and edge computing architectures for real-time robotic control applications.
Conducted field experiments at the Aitik copper mine in Gällivare as part of the G-DRONES project.
Read moreDuring October 31 – November 2, 2022, I participated in a field experimental campaign at the Aitik open-pit copper mine in Gällivare, Sweden, as part of the G-DRONES Vinnova project. The campaign tested autonomous drone operations and 5G-enabled edge control in a large-scale industrial mining environment, one of the most demanding operational settings for robotic systems.
